1. What this page covers
These terms apply to this website — the pages you can read without an account. They are not the terms of any product we sell.
2. Our products each have their own terms
Survivor Buddy is a brand. Under it we publish several independent products, and buying or using one gives you no rights in another:
- the Survivor Buddy app for mobile devices;
- the webapp;
- the Academy, our library of written and filmed field training; and
- our books.
Each product has its own sign-up, its own billing and its own terms and privacy policy, shown to you before you pay. Where those terms differ from this page, the product’s own terms govern that product.
3. The material on this site
Everything here — text, images, video, design and code — belongs to Epic Channels Ltd or is used with permission. You may read it, and you may link to it. You may not copy, republish, resell or redistribute it, or use it to train a machine-learning model.
4. What this site is not
This site describes preparedness training. Nothing on it is medical, legal, financial or professional advice, and none of it substitutes for a doctor, a paramedic or the emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. You are responsible for complying with the law where you live, including on open fires, foraging, firearms and radio use.
5. Accuracy and availability
We keep this site current as best we can, but we do not warrant that everything on it is complete or free of error, and we do not promise it will always be reachable. Prices, features and release plans described here may change, and a description here does not create an entitlement — what you get is what the product’s own terms say at the moment you buy it.
6. Links to other services
This site links to our own products and to a community platform operated by someone else. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, terms or availability.
7. Liability
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any outcome of a decision you took based on material on this website.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top always shows the current version.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
